In the Fall of 2018, Inspira will partner with Vineland Public Schools AMSA (Applied Math and Science Academy), an intensive six-year program comprised of passionate and brilliant young minds, to support their student health technology initiatives and help them apply what they learn in the classroom back into the community in which they live. The partnership will be three-fold beginning with a $10,000 grant to the AMSA program. Inspira will also be purchasing 100 CodeCombat licenses for students to learn coding and training for teachers on how to teach coding. CodeCombat is designed for students to learn computer science and feature courses focused on excelling in the classroom. The CodeCombat program is easy for teachers with little to no prior programming experience. In addition, Inspira Health will set up a mentorship program that will meet quarterly to encourage and develop relationships and skills between the students of Vineland Public Schools and the staff at Inspira. The 2018 mentorship program will focus on how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) is used on a daily basis in healthcare, both in and outside of the clinical environment. We see this partnership with the AMSA program as an investment in the future with the hopes that one day some of these students may become Inspira employees and help us further our mission.
