When it comes to stroke care, every moment is critical to minimize a stroke’s effects. Inspira Medical Centers in Elmer, Woodbury and Vineland are certified as Primary Stroke Centers, allowing the South Jersey community to reach life-saving treatment close to home.

Inspira Medical Centers are staffed with physicians and nurses with advanced training in stroke care who are able to provide rapid diagnosis at a moment’s notice, as well as rehabilitation services to ensure the best possible outcomes. The designation as a Primary Stroke Center is based upon the advanced capabilities and protocols for the rapid response, diagnostic evaluation and sophisticated treatment of stroke patients.

A stroke is an attack on the brain that can happen to anyone, at any time. They happen when blood and oxygen are blocked from traveling to a portion of your brain by a clot (ischemic stroke) or because a weakened vessel ruptures and bleeds into the brain (hemorrhagic stroke).

Strokes are the fifth leading cause of death in the U.S. and the leading cause of disability.
