Thursday, February 19, 2015 - Inspira Woodbury Medical Center Medical Staff Elects New Officers
(WOODBURY, NJ, February 18, 2015) - For the term 2015-2017, James M. Bonner, DO, FACOEP, FACEP, has been elected president of the 550-member medical staff for Inspira Medical Center Woodbury. Bruce A. Monaghan, MD, will serve as the vice president.

Bruce A. Monaghan, MD
Board-certified in Emergency Medicine, Bonner has served as the medical director of Inspira Woodbury’s Department of Emergency Medicine since 1998. He is a fellow of the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Physicians and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
Bonner received his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon the completion of his residency at the Osteopathic Medical Center, he joined Inspira Woodbury in 1988.
A resident of Mantua, Bonner was honored as the Distinguished Citizen of 2012 by the Southern New Jersey Council of the Boys Scouts of America. In 2008, he was honored by the Delaware Valley Stroke Council as “Physician of the Year” in recognition for his work in developing the hospital’s stroke program.
Monaghan received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania where he also completed his internship and orthopedic surgery residency. After completing a hand and microvascular surgery fellowship at the Indiana Hand Center in Indianapolis, he joined the medical staff of Inspira Woodbury in 1996.
A diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, Monaghan is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with an added qualification in surgery of the hand.
He served as president of the Gloucester County Medical Society from 2002-2004 and is trustee for the New Jersey Medical Society, a post he has held for over ten years. He is currently the chairman of the board of directors of the Gloucester County Surgical Center in Mullica Hill.
Monaghan resides in Haddonfield with his wife and three children.
