South Jersey Healthcare Raises Money for Local Families
During National Cover the Uninsured Week

BRIDGETON , NJ (April 24) - South Jersey Healthcare will recognize National Cover the Uninsured Week by raising money for local families. The system will donate funds raised to the uninsured to help cover their health care expenses.

National Cover the Uninsured Week , which begins on May 1, is designed to raise awareness of the millions of Americans who are living without health care coverage. SJH employees are getting involved by donating $5 and by wearing jeans to work on Friday, May 5 to show their support.

“This is a great way for SJH to support local families and reach out to the uninsured,” said Chet Kaletkowski, SJH president and CEO. “It is important to the health and well-being of our community that we address this issue, because many people without insurance are not seeking necessary medical treatments.”

SJH will donate the funds given by employees during the week to the Division of Youth and Family Services.

SJH is a nonprofit, integrated health care system, providing access to a continuum of delivery services. SJH provides hospital services, numerous community health clinics, home health services, and specialty services, which serve the medical and health care needs of Southern New Jersey residents.
