Friday, November 8, 2019 - Inspira Health Celebrates Success of Transformative ‘Invest. Impact. Inspire.’ Capital Campaign

Hundreds of supporters celebrated the success of Inspira Health Foundation’s “Invest. Impact. Inspire.” capital campaign earlier today. At a private ceremony preceding the ribbon cutting for Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill, Inspira officials and supporters touted the more than $23 million raised during the network’s first-ever capital campaign. The event also highlighted the transformational impact of the campaign on health care in southern New Jersey.

Funds raised through the capital campaign helped build the new hospital; establish a leading-edge cancer center on the Mullica Hill campus; construct a $34.4 million two-story patient pavilion and $5.9 million senior emergency department at Inspira Medical Center Vineland; and improve access to exceptional health care professionals and innovative technology across the region.

“Today, we celebrate a remarkable philanthropic achievement that was driven by the community, as well as Inspira Health leadership, its board members, physicians, employees, and local businesses,” said John DiAngelo, president and CEO of Inspira Health. “I truly thank all of our dedicated supporters, donors, sponsors, volunteers and advocates for their relentless devotion to our goal of delivering the highest quality health care for our community, in our community.”

“We deeply appreciate the outpouring of support we’ve received with this historic record run of philanthropy,” said Jessica Kowal, chief development officer for Inspira Health. “The funds we’ve raised have provided critical resources to advance health care in our communities, improving the health and well-being of families and individuals for generations to come.”

Inspira publicly launched its capital campaign in November 2018 with an initial goal of $20 million. After reaching its goal six months early, a $23 million “stretch goal” was announced in June 2019 to continue the groundswell of community support.

As one of the campaign’s most visible achievements, Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill is designed to align exceptional health care with leading-edge technology, talented employees, and ease of access. Other successes include enhancements for the residency program to educate future medical staff, as well as community health initiatives that address addiction, food insecurity, homelessness, and access to health care.
