Wednesday, October 24, 2012 - Family Success Center Opens New Location in Commercial Township

South Jersey Healthcare’s Family Success Center has opened a new location in Commercial Township and invites all local area residents to attend an open house on Saturday, October 27 from 12 to 3 p.m. A ceremonial ribbon cutting will be held at 1 p.m. New Jersey State Senator Jeff Van Andrew and Assemblymen Nelson Albano and Matthew Milam will be in attendance.

Open house attendees are welcome to enjoy food, music, and a range of free activities, including pumpkin painting, face painting, a moon bounce and more. There will also be a free raffle where attendees can enter to win a special gift basket. More than 25 community agencies will be available to provide information and resources to local families.

Bus transportation to and from the Family Success Center will be available at the Laurel Lake Fire Hall and the Commercial Township Municipal Building. Buses will run every 30 minutes from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Family Success Center, a program offered by IMPACT (Innovative Model for Preschool and Community Teaming), will offer a variety of services and programs that connect Commercial Township families with community resources ranging from housing and legal assistance to help obtaining household items and food. The new center will provide services to parents, grandparents, foster parents, or guardians of children through the age of 18 who reside in Commercial Township. Parents will have access to educational programs such as computer, first aid and CPR classes, as well as a variety of regularly scheduled family activities.

SJH is a nonprofit, integrated health care system, providing access to a continuum of health services. SJH provides hospital services, numerous community health clinics, home health services, and specialty services, which serve the medical and health care needs of southern New Jersey residents.
