Vineland, NJ (June 13) – Inspira Health Network's Breast Center was recently awarded a three-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers. The accreditation, administered by the American College of Surgeons, is presented to those organizations that have voluntarily committed to provide the high¬est level of breast care and that successfully undergo a rigorous evaluation and review of their performance.
“Achieving this accreditation demonstrates Inspira Health Network's continued commitment to providing the highest quality of care close to home,” said Michelle Marshall, Assistant Vice President for Oncology and Women’s Health at SJH. “Women can confidently enter our doors knowing that the treatment they receive will be based on the latest clinical evidence and that SJH provides the full spectrum of services to meet the patient’s physical and emotional needs.”
During the survey process, the hospital must demonstrate compliance with national standards for treating women who are diagnosed with the full spectrum of breast disease. Program leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement are critical to earning accreditation. Accredited breast centers must demonstrate a firm commitment to offer patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease.
