WOODBURY, NJ (January 22) — Three Underwood-Memorial Hospital women have recently been honored as Women of Achievement for 2012.
At an October event, the Gloucester County Commission for Women, the American Association of University Women, Gloucester County Branch, and the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders included Helene Lynch, MJ, BSN, RNC, NEA-BC, director of Underwood’s Maternal-Child Health and Perioperative Services, and Kathy Schultes, chair of the Underwood-Memorial Hospital Foundation, among its honorees.
“To Helene Lynch, nursing is not just a profession — it is a passion” declared Lynch’s bio in the program. During her 32-year nursing career at Underwood, Lynch has earned two degrees from Widener University, a bachelor’s of science in Nursing and a master of Jurisprudence in Health Law.
In addition to her leadership role on the Foundation board, Schultes, a long-time volunteer at Underwood, is also a member of the boards for the hospital and the auxiliary.
On Dec. 6, the Southern New Jersey Council, Boy Scouts of America, honored Pamela Clark as the Gloucester County representative at its “Women of Achievement” awards reception. She serves on the trustee board at Underwood, is a member of the hospital’s Second Auxiliary, and serves on the committees for the hospital’s annual golf classic and Ball.
