Food for Thought
Inspira’s Food for Thought program helps children develop skills for healthy living and good life choices.
Food for Thought

Strong, confident and healthy children have better outcomes in school, in work and as adults. Food for Thought helps families establish the patterns that will keep kids happy and healthy.
Our Approach to Promoting a Healthy Lifestyle
The Food for Thought mission is simple: To help children and adolescents in the community develop skills for healthy living and good decision-making. We accomplish this by designing educational health and nutrition programs that:
- Elevate children’s confidence levels
- Encourage participants to stay physically active and eat healthy
- Increase interest in new foods and recipes
- Educate kids and teens about the dietary issues affecting their communities
The habits our children and adolescents learn today will help preserve their health and wellbeing for a lifetime.
Food for Thought Program
With the launch of the Food for Thought program, our staff of registered dieticians bring key health and nutrition information to school students across South Jersey. We partner with local school districts at no cost to conduct in-school or virtual sessions catering to various age groups.
In these workshops, participants learn lots of useful information, like how to eat healthy foods on a budget, how to create low-calorie versions of your favorite meals and how to make physical activity a regular part of your life. Our program organizers work directly with school leaders to tailor each session to meet the needs of individual communities.
If you would like to host a workshop at your school, church, community center or other organization, contact us.
