Outcomes for Cancer Screening Programs

NJ Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJCEED) is a grant-funded program that provides free cancer screenings to residents of Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties that are uninsured or underinsured and living at 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. The program also connects patients who are diagnosed with cancer with assistance to cover the cost of treatment.
In the past grant year (July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019):
NJCEED program of Cumberland and Salem Counties
- Provided a total of 1,227 free cancer screenings.
- Breast Cancer Screening – 437 Patients
- Cervical Cancer Screening – 750 Patients
- Colorectal Cancer Screening – 32 Patients
- Prostate Cancer Screening – 8 Patients
- Patient outcomes from screenings (detected cancer):

NJCEED program of Gloucester County
- Provided a total of 133 free cancer screenings.
- Breast Cancer Screening – 64 Patients
- Cervical Cancer Screening – 55 Patients
- Colorectal Cancer Screening – 11 Patients
- Prostate Cancer Screening – 3 Patients
