Inspira-Internal Medicine Rotation Curriculum 

We are a 4+1 program- so 4 weeks are spent inpatient in the hospital in Vineland with 1 week in the outpatient primary care setting. This is the optimal schedule to balance inpatient medicine with learning in the outpatient setting.  

PGY-1 

  • 16 Weeks inpatient medicine 
  • 6 Weeks night-float 
  • 8 Weeks ICU 
  • 4 Weeks elective 
  • 9 Weeks primary care clinic 
  • 4 Weeks emergency medicine 
  • 4 Weeks ambulatory medicine 

PGY-2 

  • 16 Weeks inpatient medicine 
  • 4 Weeks night-float 
  • 4 Weeks ICU 
  • 2 Weeks geriatrics 12 Weeks elective 
  • 9 Weeks primary care clinic 
  • 4 Weeks ambulatory medicine 

PGY-3 

  • 12 Weeks inpatient medicine 
  • 4 Weeks night-float 
  • 4 Weeks ICU 
  • 2 Weeks geriatrics 
  • 16 Weeks elective 
  • 9 Weeks primary care clinic 
  • 4 Weeks ambulatory medicine 

Electives  

Residents can do elective rotations in all the usual Internal Medicine specialties over the course of their training at Inspira Health. In addition to the traditional medicine electives, our residents have also done the following rotations in recent years:

  • Administrative Medicine 
  • Radiology (diagnostic, interventional, or ultrasound) 
  • Palliative Care 
  • Pathology 
  • International Medicine 
  • Office Gynecology 
  • Anesthesiology 
  • Addiction Medicine
