Health care industry veteran assumes newly created role to advance long-term growth strategy for the health care network

Mullica Hill, NJ – Inspira Health today announced the appointment of Clare Sapienza-Eck to Chief Strategy Officer, effective immediately. In this newly developed role,

Clare Sapienza-Eck

Sapienza-Eck will be responsible for advancing strategic initiatives of the South Jersey-based health care organization to drive long-term growth — including new investments, partnerships and other business opportunities.

Sapienza-Eck has more than 25 years of experience in health care, most recently serving as Vice President of Business Development and Planning at Inspira. In her role as Chief Strategy Officer, she will support Inspira’s growth strategy under the leadership of the newly appointed CEO, Amy Mansue. Alongside the full executive leadership team and the Board of Trustees, she will be responsible for overseeing the development of system-wide strategic priorities to advance the mission of Inspira Health. As the organization continues its trajectory as a High Reliability Organization, Sapienza-Eck will focus on strengthening the quality of Inspira’s array of services across the health care continuum, ensuring cross-functional alignment among divisions. Additionally, she will develop and expand business opportunities and relationships with physicians to broaden health care access in Inspira’s communities.

“Clare’s storied career and dedication to the health care industry has made a tremendous impact on the Inspira organization, as well as our patients,” said Amy Mansue, President & CEO of Inspira Health. “Her ability to forecast near- and long-term market trends — coupled with her vast expertise in business development and strategic planning — will be invaluable to the growth of Inspira and our continued mission to improve the lives of our communities.”

This appointment comes at a critical time, and Sapienza-Eck’s foresight for long-term growth will solidify the foundation of the organization’s continued success. Most recently, she led master planning efforts for the development of Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill, the network’s newest hospital located in Gloucester County. Over her career, she developed and oversaw a decade-long endeavor to consolidate three hospitals into one regional hospital in Vineland, NJ; led multiple hospital expansion projects and the establishment of new access points; and contributed to the overall expansion of Inspira’s service area in South Jersey.

“I have had the immense privilege of working with the Inspira organization and its incredible leadership, staff and patients for more than two and a half decades, and I am incredibly proud of the community we have collectively built,” said Sapienza-Eck. “As we continue to focus on high-quality care and access across South Jersey, I look forward to driving new opportunities to serve our community and continually fulfill our mission.”

Sapienza-Eck holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as a Master of Health Care Administration and Master of Health Care Finance from Temple University. She has been integrally involved in health care planning and strategy at various organizations for more than three decades.
