Learn how Inspira's community programs support South Jersey residents through education, free screenings and health resources.
At Inspira Health, our commitment to community runs deeper than the care we provide in our facilities. We work to enhance health literacy and promote healthcare utilization through free education, assessments and screenings that empower individuals to lead healthier lives and address unique regional needs.
Inspira Health's mission is to improve the health and well-being of our community, and that mission doesn't stop at our hospital doors. We believe that truly healthy communities require more than clinical care. They require education and compassionate support that meets people where they are, regardless of their circumstances.
That's why we've built a network of programs to empower South Jersey residents to take an active role in improving their health. Whether someone is managing a chronic condition, seeking free screenings they otherwise couldn't access or looking to learn more about living well, Inspira is here as a resource and partner.
Our community programs reflect core values we bring to everything we do: providing access to high-quality care for all people, treating everyone with compassion and respect and educating and inspiring positive, long-term change. In practice, that looks like:
Community Health Needs Assessment
A regular, data-driven look at the health priorities of our region and how Inspira is responding to them.
Browse and register for upcoming health and wellness classes, support groups and community events near you.
Substance Abuse Prevention Program
Education, outreach and resources to help prevent substance misuse and support those affected by addiction in our communities.
Connecting patients and community members to fresh, nutritious food because food security is health care.
Accredited education and support to help individuals manage diabetes and reduce their risk of complications.
For patients who can't afford their prescriptions, the Dispensary of Hope provides medications at no cost.
NJ Cancer Education and Early Detection
Inspira is the lead NJCEED provider in Cumberland, Gloucester and Salem counties, offering free cancer screenings for eligible residents and education to support early detection when cancer is most treatable.
For families of infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities, we provide early support services that can make a lifelong difference.
Community Health Worker Program
Trained community health workers help residents connect to care, navigate health systems and address the social factors that affect well-being.
Our programs are built around the communities we serve, not the other way around. From free screenings to food access to early childhood support, we go beyond clinical care because we know that health happens everywhere.
Whether it's a neighborhood health fair, a virtual education session or a community health worker knocking on a door, we bring resources to residents, not the other way around. We work to remove barriers such as cost, insurance status and geography so that everyone in our communities can access the support they need.
Good health isn't just about what happens in a doctor's office. It's about having access to nutritious food, support through addiction or chronic illness and the knowledge to make informed decisions. Our programs are designed to address the social, educational and clinical factors that shape long-term well-being.
Inspira has deep roots in South Jersey, and our community programs reflect that. From Cumberland and Salem counties to Gloucester, we understand the specific needs, challenges and strengths of the people who live here. That local knowledge shapes everything we do.
