MULLICA HILL, NJ (October 23, 2014) – Inspira Health Network’s Information Systems Department was recently named one of five “Best Hospital IT Departments” in the nation by Healthcare IT News. The honor recognizes hospital IT departments who have the highest level of employee satisfaction within their departments.

“I am extremely proud of our entire Information Systems team for being recognized as one of the Best Hospital IT Departments in the nation,” said Tom Pacek, vice president and chief information officer for Inspira Health Network. “Inspira’s IT staff is made up of dedicated, knowledgeable individuals who have a positive outlook on the work they do every day. Their commitment to the values of our organization is remarkable and this recognition is a direct reflection on their contributions.”

In total, more than 190 IT departments across the nation were nominated. In order to determine the best departments to work in, Healthcare IT News required that at least 50% of employees in each nominated department complete an online survey measuring their overall job satisfaction. Inspira was ranked third in the large hospital category, with more than 90 IT employees working for the health network.

Overall, employees of top departments noted high satisfaction in a number of categories, including: overall job and elements of day-to-day work; immediate work unit, team, or IT department group; workplace culture; senior management and leadership; training, professional development, and advancement; compensation, benefits, and employee recognition; and direct supervisor, manager or group head.
