Mullica Hill, NJ (November 11, 2022)Inspira Health employees donated more than 2,400 pairs of new socks during a collection drive held in support of Socktober. Socktober is celebrated across the world each October to encourage donations and raise awareness of the critical need for socks among people who are homeless.  Although socks are rarely donated through clothing drives, they are one of the most requested items by organizations that help people who don’t have stable housing.

In support of Inspira’s mission to improve the health and well-being of its community, employees take part in donation drives, volunteer opportunities and fundraisers throughout the year. This is the second year Inspira employees have participated in Socktober. In total, more than 3,500 pairs of socks of been donated by Inspira staff and providers. This year, the socks were given to the Salvation Army for distribution.
