We at Inspira never take for granted the immense talent and expertise within our network, working diligently to provide high-quality care and a seamless patient experience for South Jersey. So, it is with a tremendous amount of pleasure we acknowledge some of the outstanding Inspira physicians who have recently been recognized in our community for their outstanding work in medicine and the care they provided our patients throughout the pandemic.
Evelyn Balogun, MD, Medical Director of Employee Health, Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care, and member of our COVID-19 Vaccine Steering Committee, received recognition from the Philadelphia Business Journal as part of its 2021 Leaders in Healthcare awards program. She is one of 17 health care providers in the region to be honored this year for their efforts throughout the pandemic.
Dr. Balogun was, and continues to be, instrumental in developing policies to address the safety of our employees, as well as for employees of local businesses who are covered by our occupational health services. She provides key information about the virus to various audiences, ranging from Inspira employees and South Jersey area residents to school administrators and local clergy. Whether offering insight about coronavirus vaccines during an online video chat or hosting a virtual town hall for large groups, she has been viewed as a steady, calming force during such an unpredictable time. We at Inspira, and those in our community, are fortunate to have such a compassionate, approachable and experienced leader helping us navigate through the pandemic.
