VINELAND, NJ (April 11, 2014) — In recognition of National Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month in April, Inspira Health Network is co-hosting a county-wide conference with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families to be held at Cumberland County Community College’s Community Day on Saturday, April 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“Inspira’s Family Success Centers work year-round to celebrate and strengthen families,” said Kimberly Friddell, executive director of Inspira’s IMPACT program. “We are very excited to partner with the NJ Department of Children and Families and several other community agencies for this event. It is a great opportunity for community members to learn about the importance of child abuse awareness and prevention.”
The free community event will feature a special presentation from Reverend Darrell L. Armstrong, valuable workshops, and fun activities for children and adults. Additionally, families will be able to gain vital information on a range of topics from how to become a foster/adoptive family to Atlantic City Electric information. Representatives from Cumberland County’s four Family Success Centers will provide information on available community resources for children and families.
