Inspira Medical Center Elmer Receives National Award for Orthopedics

Aug 8, 2017

MULLICA HILL, NJ (August 3, 2017) – Inspira Medical Center Elmer received the Women’s Choice Award® recognizing that it is one of “American’s Best Hospitals for Orthopedics.”  By earning the Women’s Choice Award seal, Inspira Medical Center Elmer has joined an elite network of hospitals committed to a global mission to empower women to make informed health care choices for them and their families

To receive this honor, Inspira Elmer met the initial criterion that it offers comprehensive orthopedic services including surgical procedures, diagnostic imaging and physical therapy.

Elmer was then judged on its results on the national patient satisfaction survey, Hospital Consumer Assessment for Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) regarding patient recommendations and post-operative recovery instructions.   The third criterion was an evaluation of data collected by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid regarding the hospital’s low rates for surgical complications and infections.

The Women's Choice Award organization surveyed thousands of women to determine which measures are most important to them,” said Elizabeth Sheridan, chief operating officer of Inspira Vineland and Inspira Elmer.  “There are no subjective considerations as the award is driven by clinical excellence and data; I am proud that this award recognizes the work of the entire staff at Inspira Elmer.”
