Happy Holidays from Provider Inspiration

Hello and welcome to the December edition of Provider Inspiration

Amy Mansue

Over the past year, Inspira Health has worked diligently to prepare for Salem Medical Center (SMC) to become part of our organization—a major step in increasing access to care for the South Jersey community. I’m proud to announce that, as of December 15, 2022, we have completed the transaction that the New Jersey Attorney General and Superior Court recommended and approved. Please join me in welcoming the SMC team to the Inspira family. Stay tuned for more information over the next few months on what this means for the medical staff.

The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes reflections from the past year. In 2022, we introduced a number of new technologies and procedures in cardiology, neurology, spinal surgery, oncology, physical therapy and more. We expanded our footprint in South Jersey to ensure our patients have access to state-of-the-art care wherever they are. We welcomed new faces to our team and grew our residency program to meet the needs of our patients. And we delivered care and resources to those who needed it most through our Community Health Workers, Food Farmacy and mobile van health screenings.

Most recently, the bariatric team at Inspira Medical Center Vineland achieved reaccreditation as a Comprehensive Center by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program (MBSAQIP) in partnership with the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). This accreditation formally acknowledges our commitment to providing and supporting quality improvement and patient safety efforts for metabolic and bariatric surgery patients. Congratulations to the team at Vineland. We’re eagerly awaiting word of Mullica Hill’s accreditation as well.

This month, we’re hearing from Dr. Jamie Patel, chief medical officer for Mullica Hill and Woodbury, about the strides we’ve made toward better patient safety practices. We’re also learning more about how our Dispensary of Hope is helping community members in need.

As 2022 comes to a close, I want to thank every one of you for everything you do. The Inspira team has accomplished so much over the last 12 months, and I’m excited to see what 2023 will bring.

Be well and stay safe,
