Conditions a Urogynecologist Can Help With
About 50 percent of adult women experience urinary incontinence of some kind. Our urogynecologists can help assess and diagnose underlying conditions such as overactive bladder, urinary tract infection (UTI) and urethral diverticulum.
Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles that supports your bladder, bowels and uterus. Our urogynecologists are experienced in diagnosing and treating a variety of pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse and rectovaginal or vesicovaginal fistula.
This condition, also known as painful bladder syndrome, can cause severe bladder pain, discomfort and pressure, in addition to a feeling that you need to urinate frequently.
This includes conditions such as cysts, labial swelling, painful intercourse, vulval pain or itching, atrophy or vaginal dryness and chronic pain around the vulva.
