I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Elisha... She is just so chill, but she’s also so professional. She gives you all the information you need in a way that you can understand. Everything was just on point. We could not have had a better team. We met eight or ten people that night. They not only did their jobs well, but there was more humanity in the experience than I expected.

I looked for doctors who were not only very smart, but those who also truly listen to patients, trusting that they may know a thing or two about their own bodies. Just about everyone we met at Inspira did that with us. It’s comforting to know that you are in good hands with people who really care about you as a person.

Before the first operation, I couldn’t eat or drink for many hours. When I got to the hospital that morning, I smelled coffee and noticed some people eating donuts. I told Dr. Fought that was killing me because I was so hungry and wanted coffee so bad. Well, when I woke up after the surgery, you know what was on the table by my bed? A bag with two donuts in it! What doctor does something like that after knowing you only a few weeks?

Dr. Jovin explained everything, including the risks, to me quickly, but completely, and in a way I could understand... It meant the difference between having the full life I have now, and possibly being in a nursing home or needing everyday care myself. Having the best, quick care means returning to your normal life instead of having to reevaluate your entire way of doing things.

When I got to the hospital, the doors opened up and there was Dr. Kaulback and his team waiting for me. I wasn’t scared anymore. I thought, ‘This is my lucky day!’ Every one of them is part of a team and knows, without speaking, what they are supposed to do. They move with such precision! I’ve never seen anything like it. The things that doctors and nurses do today are modern miracles!
