The only hospital in New Jersey recognized with the 2015 Women’s Choice Award® for OrthopedicsELMER, NJ – May 27, 2015 – According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 719,000 total knee replacements and 332,000 total hip replacements were performed in 2010. In 2014, The National Osteoporosis Foundation reported that a woman’s risk of hip fracture is equal to her combined risk of breast, uterine and ovarian cancer (NOF 2014, “What Women Need to Know”).
