Salem, NJ (January 20, 2023) – Inspira Health today hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the addition of Salem Medical Center to its comprehensive health care system. The partnership between Inspira Health and Salem Medical Center – which is now known as Salem Medical Center, an affiliate of Inspira Health – will increase the access to convenient high-quality health care in South Jersey. This addition to Inspira Health includes Salem Medical Center’s hospital building, ambulatory surgery center and physician offices.
“It has been an honor to meet many of the newest members of the Inspira family and thank them for their unwavering commitment to their patients and the greater Salem community,” said Amy Mansue, President and CEO of Inspira Health. “I’m grateful for all you have done and the warm welcome our leadership team has received as we work to enhance staffing to increase access, elevate the patient experience, and build a healthier South Jersey, together.”
Gathered today were federal, state and local officials, and New Jersey Commissioner of Health Judy Persichilli, R.N., B.S.N., M.A., as well as senior leaders from Inspira Health. The full integration of Salem into Inspira Health is expected to take 12 to 24 months.
“We have an incredible opportunity to find new ways to innovate and care for our communities,” said Lydia Stockman, Chief Administration Officer for Inspira Medical Center. “We have a chance to redefine what quality health care means for South Jersey, and I am confident we can continue to stabilize, strengthen and build on the services Salem Medical Center, an affiliate of Inspira Health, provides.”
