Vineland and Mullica Hill, NJ (October 28, 2026)– The American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association have recognized Inspira Medical Center Vineland and Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill for providing evidence-based high-quality cardiac care. These recognitions also reflect the strength of Inspira's partnership with Cooper University Health Care, which helps provide advanced cardiovascular services to patients throughout South Jersey.
For the second consecutive year, the hospitals were awarded the American College of Cardiology (ACC) HeartCARE Center National Distinction of Excellence, the highest recognition awarded by the ACC. The distinction recognizes organizations that demonstrate excellence across multiple cardiovascular accreditation and quality initiatives and maintain a comprehensive commitment to delivering high-quality heart care. To be designated, a facility must earn at least two other ACC accreditations annually.
The hospitals qualified for HeartCARE Center designation based on their performance in caring for patients with chest pain, heart failure and those in need of cardiac catheterization services. Only 100 hospitals in the United States hold this distinction. Inspira’s Vineland and Mullica Hill hospitals earned the American Heart Association (AHA) Commitment to Quality Award by demonstrating sustained adherence to evidence-based practice when caring for patients with heart failure, stroke and those in need of resuscitation. Only four hospitals in New Jersey and 222 hospitals nationwide received this award in 2026.
The AHA also named Inspira Vineland and Mullica Hill to the 2026 American Heart Association Target: Aortic Stenosis Honor Roll, recognizing efforts to improve the identification, diagnosis, treatment and long-term management of aortic stenosis, one of the most common and serious heart valve diseases affecting older adults.
"These are well-deserved honors for our cardiac, neuro and emergency teams," said Lydia Stockman, executive vice president and chief clinical officer for Inspira Health. "Our mission calls us to provide safe and compassionate care to improve the health and well-being of our community. By consistently following evidence-based guidelines and demonstrating an unwavering commitment to quality, our teams help patients achieve better outcomes."
According to the AHA, heart disease is the number one killer worldwide. Since its founding more than 100 years ago, the AHA has invested more than $6 billion in research, making it the largest not-for-profit funder of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease research outside the federal government.
With more than 60,000 members worldwide spanning the entire cardiovascular team, the American College of Cardiology serves as the professional home for clinicians and researchers seeking the latest science, research and education.
