Inspira’s Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Ground Transport teams work tirelessly to keep the residents of our South Jersey communities safe, healthy and mobile. We provide critical prehospital medical services when accidents, illnesses or emergencies strike, and we help get patients where they need to go when they require top-notch care.
Bringing the Emergency Room to You
At Inspira, EMS is more than just transportation services—our emergency crew serves as a vital link between the community and our providers. Paramedics, EMTs, specialty care transport nurses, vehicle operators and dispatchers at our Capacity Command Center work together on the front lines to coordinate and deliver critical, life-saving care.
Whether you’re seeking information about our services or you’re interested in applying for a position, our EMS and Ground Transport program has plenty to offer patients and potential recruits alike.
Critical Medical Care
Our paramedics and EMTs are trained to help assess and stabilize a patient’s condition while administering advanced prehospital care on the scene or en route to the hospital. Specially equipped vehicles and our extensively trained emergency medical teams are located across South Jersey in strategic locations to improve accessibility and minimize response times. Working alongside local rescue squads and emergency department staff, Inspira’s EMS and Ground Transport teams are trained to provide advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS), administer drugs, monitor electrocardiograms (EKGs) and perform life-saving interventions.
Transfers and Transport
Access to medical care is essential, especially for patients who require critical or specialty services, such as dialysis. In addition to transporting patients from the field to the Emergency Department (ED), we also provide interfacility transfers and safe, non-emergency transport.
At Inspira, we believe in empowering our patients with knowledge so they can take control of their health and well-being. We’ve got tips on how you can stay safe, prevent illness and injury, and prepare for emergencies if and when they occur.
Classes and Programs
Education and training is an important aspect of EMS and Ground Transport. The EMS Academy offers several health care and emergency medical classes for enrollees to get certified in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), pediatric education for prehospital professionals (PEPP), prehospital trauma life support (PHTLS) and more.
