World Patient Safety Day is a day of global recognition presented by the World Health Organization. This year's theme centers around medication safety and the importance of understanding, storing, prescribing and administering medications in health care systems around the world. Through the slogan 'Medication Without Harm,' the WHO hopes to bring awareness to safe medication practices and the importance of global education and action to enhance patient safety and reduce patient harm.
As a high reliability organization, Inspira is committed to making safety a priority for its patients and staff. In recognition of World Patient Safety Day, we've asked some of our own pharmacy experts to share their tips for safe medication practices.
