Inspira Health Foundation launches its $28 million Changing Lives, Improving Communities campaign to...
With a recent donation of $45,000 to the Inspira Health Foundation, the Bill Bottino Cancer Foundation has now given $774,000 in support of Inspira Health’s Cancer Services in Vineland.
The Bottino family’s donation felt particularly personal this year, as Bill’s wife Robin recently visited the Inspira Medical Center Elmer emergency department when she experienced persistent chest pain. Thankfully, her care team was able to rule out heart issues and found a strained muscle. But the experience left a lasting impression on the Bottinos.
“The hospital was spotlessly clean, from the waiting area to the treatment rooms. Every person we interacted with, including the person at the front desk, our nurse and our doctors, was kind, patient and understanding,” Bill Bottino said. “I have never had such a pleasant experience in a hospital.”
The family’s generous donation to the Cancer Care Fund enables Inspira to continue providing state-of-the-art cancer treatment, innovative technologies, pioneering clinical trials and compassionate support services to patients right here in South Jersey. These efforts aim to make every patient’s journey to recovery as seamless and effective as possible.
“We are incredibly grateful for the continued generosity of the Bottino family and the Bill Bottino Cancer Foundation,” said Robin Walton, senior vice president of External Affairs and chief philanthropy officer for Inspira Health. “This year’s gift feels especially meaningful as the Bottino family recently experienced firsthand the compassionate care our teams provide every day at Inspira Medical Center Elmer. Their ongoing support helps us continue delivering exceptional cancer care and vital resources to patients and families across South Jersey.”
“The Bottino family’s unwavering commitment has touched countless lives throughout our region,” said Amy Mansue, president and CEO of Inspira Health. “Hearing Bill speak so highly about the kindness, professionalism and compassion his family experienced during Robin’s recent visit to Inspira Medical Center Elmer is a powerful reminder of the impact our caregivers have on patients and loved ones every day. We are deeply appreciative of the Bottino family’s generosity and the continued support of all those who help us provide comfort, hope and care to families facing cancer in our community.”
The Bill Bottino Cancer Foundation was officially established in 2016, following years of the Bottino family’s active and generous support of the locally based Barbara Cook Cancer Foundation. It was named in honor of the Bottino family patriarch, who lost his life to cancer in 2006. In addition to its generous gifts to Inspira, the Bottino Cancer Foundation also supports other local cancer programs.
