Our Approach to Nutrition Counseling

One of our registered dietitians will provide you with a nutrition assessment, guide you through meal planning and meet with you through a series of one-on-one sessions to help you achieve your optimal health and wellbeing.

A physician’s prescription is required, and in some cases a referral may be required for one-on-one counseling. Before making an appointment for nutrition services, check your insurance to see if it’s covered. If your insurance does not cover nutrition services, a fee-for-service will apply.

Patients will receive/learn:

  • Personalized, nutritious Meal Plans / Menus

  • Behavior Modification Techniques
  • Healthier Food Options

Nutrition Counseling Topics Include:

  • Diabetes, pre-diabetes or gestational diabetes
  • Heart health: high cholesterol, high blood pressure
  • Malnutrition or unplanned weight loss
  • Cancer
  • Food allergies and sensitivity
  • Kidney disease
  • Gastrointestinal disorders, including celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, pancreatitis, cirrhosis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroparesis, reflux disease (GERD), gastric ulcers
