Our virtual information session explains the surgical weight loss options offered at Inspira and begins to prepare your for surgery-as well as the next steps. Inspira, along with most insurance companies, requires each patient to complete a mix of educational sessions prior to surgery. Viewing the video below (which contains parts 1 & 2) and completing a brief questionnaire is the first step in the surgery process.

Name three co-morbidities that can be impacted by weight loss surgery.
It is important to take vitamins after weight loss surgery.
Sleeve gastrectomy surgery decreases the size of the stomach, causing restriction of food intake, which results in weight loss.
Roux-En-Y gastric bypass surgery decreases the size of the stomach AND bypasses a portion of the small intestines, causing restriction of food intake and decreased absorption, resulting in weight loss.
Which surgery includes the implantation of a port in the abdominal wall for adjustment?
