Transitional Rotation Internship Program Director
Dr. Philip Collins earned his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He is the co-director of the Rowan-Virtua SOM Family Medicine clerkship and the program director for the Transitional Year residency program at Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill. Dr. Collins’ clinical interest are in primary care and obesity medicine. His research interests include preventive care, patient education, and obesity medicine.
Sheila Valentin, BBA, C-TAGME
Transitional Rotation Internship Program Manager
Sheila Valentin joined the Inspira Health Network as the Program Manager for the Internal Medicine before joining the Transitional Year Residency Program. She is certified as a Training Administrator of Graduate Medical Education (C-TAGME) and possesses several years of academia experience. Sheila is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the program. She supports the faculty in the recruitment of trainees. She works closely with the residents and Program Director to ensure compliance with all accrediting and hospital requirements. She envisions the residency program as a setting for academic, professional, and personal growth for the entire team.
